Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar storage this website uses, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.

1. What this policy covers

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We also use browser local storage and session storage for the same kinds of purpose. This policy should be read with the Privacy Policy.

2. Cookies and storage we use

Strictly necessary

  • Cookie choice (jartrivtech_cookie_consent in local storage): remembers whether you chose “Essential only” or “Accept all”, so we do not ask on every page load.
  • Security and hosting cookies that Netlify may set to deliver the site, balance traffic, or protect against abuse. These are required for the service to function.

Functional, only after you use a feature

  • Kaela consent (jtt-kaela-consent in local storage): records that you continued past the on-screen notice that Kaela is an AI assistant, not a human.
  • Kaela chat history (jartrivtech_chat_history in session storage): keeps the current chat visible until you close the tab. It is not used for advertising.
  • Chat nudge (jtt_chat_prompted in session storage): remembers that the chat button has already shown an unread hint this session.
  • Discovery-call booking (Cal.com): if you tap “Book a discovery call”, Cal.com’s embed may set cookies that are required to show available times and complete the booking you requested. Those cookies are not set until you open the booking flow.

Optional

We do not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. The banner still lets you “Accept all” so we have a recorded preference if we introduce a privacy-respecting analytics tool later. Until we do, that choice does not load any extra trackers. The appearance toggle is kept in memory for the visit only and is not stored.

3. Your choices

On your first visit we ask you to choose. Strictly necessary storage does not require consent. You can clear site data in your browser to reset the banner. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier necessary processing.

4. Browser controls

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the site working. For more on cookies and your rights see https://ico.org.uk and contact privacy@jartrivtech.com.
